At the Department of Bioinformatics (School of Biology andPharmaceutics) at the Friedrich Schiller University, Jena, we arelooking for a Postdoc or 2 PhD students in Bioinformatics, starting May1, 2008 or shortly afterwards, to fit in a dynamic bioinformatics andsystems biology team. The salary will be according to the German TV-Lstandard. Successful applicants are expected to do research and teachingin selected fields of bioinformatics and systems biology, such asmodelling of metabolic networks, simulation of biological oscillationsor alternative splicing. The applicant should have a doctoral, diplomaor M.Sc. degree in a discipline of Natural Sciences and be interested inmathematical modelling of biological networks. Programming skills (e.g.PERL) are desirable. Women are explicitly encouraged to apply.
