Description
The CMR[B] is an independent nonprofit research institution co-financedby the Catalonian Government to pursue innovative research activities inthe fields of stem cell biology, regeneration, and early embryodevelopment. The CMR[B] intends to become a center of reference forbasic and translational research in stem cell biology in Europe.
The CMR[B] offers in-house state-of-the-art facilities for embryonicstem cell derivation, culture, and genetic manipulation, mousetransgenesis and embryo micromanipulation, confocal and multiphotonmicroscopy, high-content functional screening, and flow cytometry. Inaddition to the use of embryonic stem cells, basic questions onmechanisms of cell differentiation, regeneration, and early embryodevelopment are being addressed using model organisms, including mouse,chick, axolotl, frogs, and zebrafish. The CMR[B] also houses theEuropean Union Stem Cell Registry and the Barcelona Human Stem CellBank, allowing for the development of specific projects involving thederivation and manipulation of normal and pathological human stem cell lines._

We are accepting applications from exceptional individuals to pursuepostdoctoral research on a wide variety of topics relevant to stem cellbiology, regeneration, and early embryo development. Candidates with astrong background in stem cell biology and/or developmental biology areespecially encouraged to apply, but applications from outstandingcandidates in other research areas will also be considered. Thepositions are offered for 3-5 years, depending on the specific researchproject. Successful candidates will receive an excellent salarycommensurate with qualifications and experience and have access to ahighly dynamic and stimulating working environment, state-of-the-artresearch facilities, and expert technical support.
