“Required Qualifications”: Ph.D. in Biochemistry or Neurobiology.Background in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology. Computer skills.
“Preferred Qualifications”: Experience in neural development and/or stemcell biology.
The candidate will complete research to analyze the roles of thetranscriptional repressor REST during neural development. This will bedone utilizing techniques in molecular biology, biochemistry and cellcultures. Other responsibilities include reading publications related tothe project, computer searches and analyses; Collecting data fromresearch and writing papers for publication; Will meet on occasion withvisiting guest lecturers to discuss ongoing research. Will makepresentations at lab meetings; Ordering supplies and taking care of equipment.
