Description
The research group funded by the German Ministry of Education andResearch (BMBF) and by the Emmy Noether Program of the German ResearchFoundation (DFG) at the Center for Molecular Neurobiology Hamburg offers
a position for a Post-doctoral fellow.
Our group investigates the synchronized patterns of electrical activityin the immature brain, their relevance for development of cognitive andbehavioural abilities and their impairment associated with neurologicaldisorders like perinatal ischemia, schizophrenia or autism.
The multidisciplinary project encompasses in vivo and in vitroelectrophysiology, molecular biology, behavioural and pharmacological investigation.

Applicants should have a PhD or M.D. and a strong background inelectrophysiology. Experience with in vivo recordings and/or programmingskills (MATLAB) would be an advantage.
The position is available from November 2008 for 2-3 years. The positionis supported by a prestigious award from BMBF.
