Description

 PhD student and a postdoc are sought to join a research team working on the molecular biology and genetic applications of DNA transposons at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine in Berlin, Germany.

The positions are funded by research grants from the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (German Ministry of Research) and from the European Commission (FP7). The PhD student position is available on a project dedicated to establish transposition-based protocols for gene therapy of Gaucher disease. The postdoc position is dedicated to the development of target-selected gene insertion technologies based on transposons.

The positions are for 3 years, and can be taken as early as April 2009. Positions will be open until filled.

Qualification
Applicants need to have reasonable experience in molecular biology. A good command of the English language is required.
