Description

The Trans-membrane Trafficking Unit at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST: http://www.oist.jp) is inviting applicants for a postdoctoral position in X-ray crystallography. Our research unit is focussing on the structure of bacterial membrane proteins. We are equipped with state-of-the-art research facilities.

The successful candidate must be highly motivated to tackle challenging problems in research and must have demonstrated research experience in protein X-ray crystallography with a strong background in protein biochemistry. Strong communication skills are desirable.

The position is available from 1st April 2009. Initial appointment will be for 1 year, renewable for up to 3 years.
