£23,449 – £26,391 pa

The funds for this post are available for eighteen months in the first instance.
Cancer Research UK and the University of Cambridge have combined to create a new world-class Cancer Research Institute on the Addenbrooke’s biomedical campus in Cambridge.

We are seeking a motivated and talented Research Assistant with practical experience in biochemical and cell culture techniques to work in Prof.Gillian Murphy’s laboratory, on a research project generating antibodies to metalloproteinases for therapeutic approaches to disease on a large scale.

Successful candidates will have a degree in biological sciences. Specific experience in the preparation and evaluation of antibodies or other proteins, using large scale pro- and eukaryotic expression systems, is preferable. The ability to work independently would be an asset.
