The NIDA International Program supports research training for drug abuse researchers from outside the United States. Funding is available for scientists to come to the United States and collaborate with NIDA researchers.

Three postdoctoral fellowship programs provide rigorous research training and professional development activities:

INVEST Drug Abuse Research Fellowship
(12-months, $39,000 US stipend plus $5,000 US health insurance allowance)

INVEST Clinical Trials Network Drug Abuse Research Fellowship
(12-months, $39,000 US stipend plus $5,000 US health insurance allowance)

NIDA-International AIDS Society (IAS) Research Fellowship in Drug Abuse and HIV/AIDS
(18-months, $75,000 US stipend)
