Post Doctoral Fellowship Programme in Behavioural Neuroscience

The Lilly Centre for Cognitive Neuroscience is a consortium of academic and industrial neuroscientists seeking to enhance the probability of clinical success of molecules targeted at conditions involving cognitive dysfunction.

Currently, Eli Lilly and Co Ltd has a challenging role for a post doctoral neuroscientist with expertise in behavioural neuroscience with interests in the developmental of in vivo models of diseases of the nervous system, rodent assays of cognition and transgenic animal phenotyping.

The position involves the development and validation of behavioural markers of early and advanced pathology in developmental, transgenic and/or environmental models of neurological and psychiatric disorders, particularly Alzheimer’s disease and schizophrenia. As a key part of a larger team utilizing behavioural, electrophysiological, molecular and anatomical methods focusing on cognitive processes, you will help provide the overall assessment of a range of experimental manipulations that will ultimately be used to guide the discovery and development of new drugs to treat these debilitating diseases.

To succeed in this role you will be a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral neuroscientist with excellent research and communication skills and a desire to contribute to the discovery and development of novel drugs within a strongly collaborative culture.

The position will be based at the Lilly Centre for Cognitive Neuroscience. Lilly Research Laboratories, Erl Wood Manor, Surrey, UK.
