Project Description:
A post-doctoral research associate position is available immediately in the Organic and Biological Mass Spectrometry Group at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. This position will involve research in microbial proteomics, with a particular focus on natural microbial communities found in soil. Work will involve development and testing of methodologies for efficient proteome extraction from complex media, sample processing, mass spectrometric characterization, and computational data mining. Candidate must have a PhD in chemical or biological sciences, and documented experience in both microbiology and proteome mass spectrometry.

Qualifications: PhD degree required
Applicants cannot have received the most recent degree more than five years prior to the date of application and must complete all degree requirements before starting their appointment.
