A postdoctoral position is open in a vigorous research laboratory in the Herman B Wells Center, Indiana University School of Medicine at Indianapolis. The successful candidate will participate in molecular, genetic and cell biological studies of the role of Tet2 in the pathogenesis of myeloid malignancies utilizing state of the art gene-modified mouse models. Specifically, this project deals with the mechanisms by which Tet2 function as tumor suppressor of myelopoiesis (Li et al. Blood, 2011,118:4509-18). Qualified applications should have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree, with demonstrated expertise in molecular, genetic and cellular studies. Solid experiences in the following methodologies are pluses, such as protein-protein interactions, shRNA transfection, bioinformatics, chromatin IP, multiple color flow cytometric analysis and gene targeting. Highly motivated candidates are encouraged to email application including a cover letter, CV, and contact information for three references to: Mingjiang Xu MD/PhD., Associate Professor, mx2@iupui.edu , or Linda Sue Henson at lshenson@iupui.edu at Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research, Indiana University School of Medicine, 1044 W.
